Online workshop, Tuesday 19 May 10am-12pm

This online workshop brings together researchers and policy analysts to discuss new evidence on benefit take-up.

The programme is comprised of two parts:

1. Presentations of findings from the ESRC-funded project Determinants and Effects of Benefit Take-Up: Insights from Panel Data and Microsimulation, including:

• Mind vs matter: economic and psychologic determinants of take-up rates of social benefits in the UK (Melchior Vella, slides)
• Unclaimed support: changes in the take-up of means-tested benefits in the UK since 2008 (Daria Popova, slides)
• Trends in child benefit take-up in the UK since 2008 (Lavinia Mitton, slides)

2. Panel discussion:
