Covid-19 Policy Response Dashboard

We analyse the impact of the Covid-19 crisis and policy response on household incomes in the UK on a monthly basis using the tax-benefit model UKMOD. Our baseline is always the income distribution in 2020 as if Covid-19 did not happen and Covid-related policies were not introduced. Our monthly counterfactual scenarios are simulated assuming labour market changes induced by the Covid crisis and the government policy response to the crisis. For more details about the assumptions used in UKMOD to model the Covid induced labour market changes see: https://microsimulation.pub/articles/00231.

The monthly graphs presented below show the detailed breakdown of changes in household incomes by source, including employment incomes, replacement incomes from the furlough schemes, social transfers and direct taxes and social insurance contributions.
