ECUAMOD moves closer with visit from IAEN colleagues

At the end of November, ISER welcomed three visitors from Ecuador’s Instituto de altos estudios nacionales (IAEN) – Mauricio Cuesta, Marcelo Varela and César Amores – who are contributing to the final stages of developing ECUAMOD, a tax-benefit microsimulation model for Ecuador.

ISER’s Olga Rastrigina was an invited speaker at a meeting organised by the Nordic Social-Statistical Committee (NOSOSCO) in Reykjavik on 11 November. The meeting was set up in order to take the first steps in exploring the use of tax-benefit microsimulations tools – and perhaps a common tool – as an aid to policy making in the Nordic countries.
