EUROMOD H1.0+ is released

EUROMOD’s core development team is pleased to announce an updated release of EUROMOD (H1.0+). This release includes:

tax-benefit policies up to 2017 for all EU-28 countries;

2015 input data for 27 countries (2014 data for DE);

revisions to older policy systems and datasets (since public release G4.0+).

Country reports – documenting the way in which each country’s tax-benefit system is modelled – can be found at /euromod/using-euromod/country-reports.

Alongside the updated model, there is an accompanying software (user interface) release. A key feature of the latest software is the inclusion of the Hypothetical Household Tool (HHoT), a development based on a collaboration between the universities of Essex and Antwerp, supported by the FP7 InGRID project. HHoT allows users to generate alternative datasets based on stylised household types which can then be used as input data by the model. There are several other improvements to the latest interface, among them extended summary statistics options which include the option to calculate budget costs for simulated policy reforms.

For further information about the latest version of the EUROMOD interface – and to download it – see /euromod/using-euromod/access/software.
