Population ageing and migration are major challenges for contemporary societies, public budgets and policy intervention. Our modelling approach in this area involves the integration of static and dynamic microsimulation models, which allows to build projections and counterfactuals for individuals and households, under different policy scenarios , taking into account trends related to educational attainments, household formation and composition, health status and labour market behaviour.
