New child poverty projections for Scotland using UKMOD

The Scottish Parliament Information Centre (SPICe) had published an analysis of the Scottish Child Poverty Delivery Plan 2022-26, based on UKMOD, the tax-benefit model for the UK and its constituent nations developed and maintained at CeMPA.

According to the analysis, child poverty in Scotland is projected to fall to its lowest level in nearly 30 years as a result of the actions taken to date and commitments in the plan, with a reduction in relative poverty of more than 60,000 children in 2023 compared to 2017.
